This will be of great help to SMEs from the region!
One of the leaders in the market for cloud-hosting services in Bulgaria, announced that it will open a software-defined colocation data center in Plovdiv.
In it, the company will be offering data storage services, services for the protection of a company’s IT infrastructure from disasters and accidents (disaster recovery) and cloud services (cloud hosting). This will break the monopoly of the capital Sofia, since it is currently the only place in the country, from which hosting services are being provided. It will also decrease the expenses of many SMEs from the Plovdiv region. If the IT infrastructure, which stores the content, is closer to them, this will decrease the time it takes for websites to load by 3-4 times. That will be especially beneficial for local companies, which use cloud storage services, since they will have almost instant access to their data. The equipment in the colocation center will have a double-secured power supply. The internet traffic will be routed through Plovdiv, without passing through Sofia.
The company will also be offering data backups and backup infrastructure, which will guarantee the business continuity and non-interruption of all processes.
