Survey with SME’s in Bulgaria to examine their willingness to use cloud based services and artificial intelligence

The Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry made a survey in April 2020 with 43 SME’s in Bulgaria to examine their willingness to use cloud based services and artificial intelligence. The survey results show that:

  • 86% of small and medium-sized enterprises know what cloud based services are;
  • The companies use different type of products: Google products and Dropbox are the most used ones;
  • 97.7% of the SME’s would use cloud services in the future; • Bulgarian companies more often than not, don’t use artificial intelligence in their current everyday life;
  • 95.3% are willing to use it in the future.
  • 76.7% of the interviewed companies showed interest in working with digital innovation hubs to get free assistance on using cloud based services and business intelligence applications. They would like to receive more detailed information about the technologies and how their utilization would help them in their business.

As a bilateral Chamber, BRCCI included 6 Romanian companies to compare the knowledge and utilization of cloud based serviced and artificial intelligence in the neighboring countries. The survey results show that:

  • 100% of Romanian companies know what cloud based services are;
  • The companies use different types of products;
  • 100% of SME’s would use cloud services in the future;
  • Romanian companies rather not utilize artificial intelligence in their current everyday life;
  • 100% of them are willing to use it in the future;
  • 50% of the interviewed companies showed interest in working with digital innovation hubs to get free assistance on using cloud based services and business intelligence applications.
